Beginning with Mel Chua's simple observation that children are as socially motivated as any adult, perhaps more so, we decided they needed a dinosaur-owner interaction tailored to their specific type of socialization: exploration. So, working together with teams from Mauna LOA and IdeaTree, we created STEAK, a hierarchical interaction scheme that captures their world of fellow children and adults as collaborators, emphasizing the connections within the community, among people, and their activities.
